A unique hosted living experience. Volda Floating Home gives you a rare opportunity of living not near but on a secluded Norwegian fjord! As a rebuilt ferry from 1962, Volda is a modern and tasteful architectural home situated right on the fjord only a half hours transfer from Tromsö.
Reserve the entire boat for you and your travel companions. With seven cabins with beds for up to 14 people, our floating home is as perfect for small groups as it is for your private family vacation. Volda has one big sleeping cabin on the upper deck, three on the main deck and three on the lower deck. The rooms are spread over the boats 340m2 space and together with three full bathrooms, there is an office, a private lounging area at the upper deck cabin, a laundry room and a big living room and kitchen area
As a food-loving family with lots of interesting contacts in the cooking world, our food and beverages focus on simple tastes with local/seasonal produce. We fish our own fish and age our own meat and this fall we are working on finding good suppliers and ambassadors to our wine and beer selection. By request, we serve our staying guests everything from a light breakfast to a high-end 3-course dinner paired with selected wines.
